William Finucane
William Finucane is a distinguished journalist amid a family of distinguished
lawyers. Mr. Finucane’s father was, among many other accomplishments, the
long-time counsel for the Boston Patriot’s, and his brother is a
Clerk of Courts in one of the most active jurisdictions in the Boston area.
Mr. Finucane’s family has practiced law in America for generations.
His sister worked for many years as a well-respected TV producer, and is now
a senior officer with a major Boston financial institution; her husband is a
regionally known newspaper columnist.
Bill Finucane lives west of Boston with his wife and two children. His
wife is a department head in the Boston School System, his daughter
is a recent college graduate, and his son is in high school.
Beginning his career as a reporter for the suburban Burlington News, Bill
Finucane soon moved to the Daily Transcript in Waltham, where for a number of
years he was acknowledged as one of that paper’s most respected political
reporters.
Mr. Finucane then moved to the Middlesex News, where he served in a variety
of editorial capacities, and also oversaw the editorial functions of a number of
weekly newspapers owned by the parent corporation.
He is currently the editorial writer for the Neponsett Valley Daily News.
Bill Finucane is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College.
